SRP Essay Contest
For the Summer Reading Program this year, we are offering the opportunity to have an Essay Contest. Here is what you need to know:
Eligibility: You MUST have a library card.
Essay Contest Rules:
For K-6th Grades: Using a minimum of words but no more than 150 words, tell us why you want to live a healthy, active life! This category will be judged in two groups. K-3rd grade and 4-6th grade. Please feel free to draw a picture as well.
For Teens and Adults: In 250 to 500 words, tell us why are inspired to live a healthy, active life and what that looks like to you.
Only one essay per person.
Essays must be type written or clearly readable print. Name, age, phone number, email must be written on the back of the essay so that names of writers do not effect the judging of essays.
Contest Begin Date: June 25
Contest End Date: July 30, 2016
Teen Council will read and vote for the winner in the K-6th grade essay contest writers.
Teen and Adult essays will be read and judged by a panel of chosen adults.
Winning Essays be awarded and printed in our upcoming newsletter and/or blog and/or website!
